Either Leeds or Northampton will come to Histon £225,000 richer. Both clubs receive £75,000 each for being screened live, Satana announced the replay between Leeds and Northampton will be shown next Monday evening live, that means Northampton and Leeds will have pocketed £150, 000 by the end of the replay, couple that with one of the two clubs banking £75,000 from the game with us, and its a pretty tidy sum for 3 games of football. At-least we will have a full house and £75,000 by the end of the game, but if its Leeds, then are police bill will be 5 times more than it would be against Northampton. We need Northampton to win the replay, so we can make money out of this tie.

ridiculous, fair enough, many many more people will watch their game, however very byast toward the big club, something like fleetwood v leiston or lincoln kettering should have been on! however i guess they go for the £££!

I read Northampton wanted to reduce ticket prices for the replay against Leeds, but the FA have refused them permission to cut ticket costs. Couple that with santna covering the replay at a reduced TV broadcasting fee as stated by an earlier poster, it looks like Northampton wont have a full ground for the replay with the FA refusing the selling of lower priced tickets which both clubs asked for. I noted from a local website Northampton newspaper the television revenue is split the following. Clubs in the Premier League and Coca-Cola Championship get virtually all the TV revenue The Premier League deal is worth £625m a season The Football League deal is £110m, with 80 per cent of that going to Championship clubs and just 12 per cent to League One clubs and 8 per cent to League Two clubs

...but the FA have refused them permission to cut ticket costs...
that seems a little illogical - firstly what's it got to do with them how Northampton set the ticket prices and why would they want to interfere anyway?

...but the FA have refused them permission to cut ticket costs... that seems a little illogical - firstly what's it got to do with them how Northampton set the ticket prices and why would they want to interfere anyway? Both clubs were disappointed with the attendance for the first game at Elland road under 10,000 and decided they would reduce ticket prices for the replay, the FA stated the prices could not be reduced under the FA rules. Must be a case of the FA who own the rights to the FA CUP, not wanting to see there slice of the gate receipts reduced. Both Leeds and Northampton's websites state they wanted to reduce ticket costs, but the FA will not allow them .

Not surprised this is on TV to be honest. One of the better ties out there and promises to be a very good game to watch for a neutral (if Swindon is anything to go by). I fancy a bit of banter with Steve Ryder as well!

Am very pleased and relieved that this has made it on to the T.V (was worried that the muppets who make these decisions would be-well-muppets). that's 75K in the pockets, so ll smiles!
