Just wanted to start a thread for the build up to the game next Sunday. A bit pre-mature I know but oh well, I'm absolutely buzzing already!!!!!!! ;D
Just wanted to clarify a couple of things, does anyone (josh maybe?) know whether the club are planning to re-open the tea bar under the mainstand? Would seem suicide to only open the teabar under the Redgate as sometimes the cue is too long anyway just for home games!
Also with the commemorative items, does anyone reckon the club will be doing half and half scarfs or anything like that. And who would buy them? I know for a fact the Shrewsbury scarf would have sold like hotcakes if they had got the ground right! I'm not sure who play at the Grassworld? ;D
Also, is there going to be Q103, CEN all of that jazz doing things in the car-park and the such before the game? I remember things like that were done for the Shrewsbury game, was a brilliant idea.
Just wanted to hear people's thoughts.

I am planning to get to the ground early and enjoy meeting some people I haven't seen for a while, then enjoying the whole atmosphere of the game. What a day this will be in the life of our club ;D

I've been preaching from the Red & Black Gospel for some time. Most recently it was in the North East this weekend. I had strangers in a crowded bar cheering everytime Histon scored another goal and it came up on Sky Sports. The last one a big massive geordie lad turned round to me (I'm glad he didn't realise I was red & white!!) and shouted "How mate... they've scored again yer kna!!" and there was a cheer in the pub. Told them all they had to watch on Sunday and come and visit sometime. Massive cheer when the BSP table was shown on the screen. After we'd finished our beers I turned to my mate and said "My work is now done here!" and we walked to the next bar. (Blimey - I talk some rubbish sometimes! Pity Sunderland couldn't muster up any enthusiasm against West Ham!

Great to hear that ftm! I had some mates in Edinburgh for New Years, and they were watching the Histon v United game on Setanta, and were cheering when we scored. Can't wait for Sunday. Literally can't wait. Great news about the club shop opening on Thursday. Was thinking about having some prematch drinks down the Vue Thursday night too, if anyone else fancies it? Another section on Anglia news tonight about the match. A lot of people, who I wouldn't really associate with the cluib have been asking me about it, which is great. Let's hope we can keep this momentum going on, and off, the field!

Speaking of the club shop being open, do you know if they will be selling copies of FM09 this year there. Because they have done the last couple of years, and I hope they still do....
