Mathmatically we are the best team in Cambridge. But Historicly Cambridge are the best.
But leagues aren't won on History.

Historically, and the future as well. Being level with us for one match (and I imagine the next few as well given the varying difficulty of our fixtures) doesn't make that any different. Historically, we have a better league position than the scum, so it's not quite the same. I'm assuming you mean Peterborough? But being a league team they're head and shoulders above you now, surely that's what matters? Who else would the scum be? Yes, that is what matters, I was trying to put some perspective on it. Histon being level on points with us and creaming themselves isn't quite the same as a desire to be ahead of a team we're traditionally ahead of. If you get what I mean.

I was trying to put some perspective on it. Histon being level on points with us and creaming themselves isn't quite the same as a desire to be ahead of a team we're traditionally ahead of. Only a few years ago Cambridge United were 92 places ahead of Histon in the footballing ladder. It shows how far Histon have come to now be ahead of Cambridge United. That's why it is such a big deal to the Histon fans. It also shows how spectacularly badly United's demise has been. Credit to (the majority of) their supporters for sticking by their team as United plunged into non-league football.

True, but at the same time you've been at the same level as us for nearly 60 matches now, so you can see why we aren't that fussed that you're ahead over goal difference. Credit where it's due, you've been consistently decent since you've been at this level (well, any level in the past 10 years) but I personally think you should be more worried about achieving your aims as a club than being ahead of us, even if given what a decent side we are this year the two aren't exactly worlds apart.
