This might be a long shot guys but worth a try We have a number of Leeds fans who are staying over on Saturday night and we wondered if you fancied a game of footy on Saturday afternoon? We have played the odd game over the years against other Leeds web sites and twice against Halifax Town Supporters and have raised some cash for charity Just need some goalposts and eleven players each and if we all chuck a tenner in each we can donate the money to a local charity or even your club if you prefer? Don't worry about the standard as our goalie will be a fifty year old who likes his beer It's all about a bit of FA Cup fever, friendly footy match between two sets of fans and hopefully a few beers together after Anyone up for it? on on on

I'd be up for a game. We managed to get a fan's team together last season to play York City and Cambridge United supporters. So its a posibility. Anyone else fancy a game? We could play on Histon rec.

Cracking idea. Bit short notice and I'm out of here and on my way to Northumberland at 4pm. Leave it with me - I've got the Impington Rec groundsman on the case and he's calling me back on Monday to let me know if we can use the pitch, changing rooms and showers. Once we have a green light for a location then we can start mustering up players. I'm sure we can get 11-ish. Cost isn't overly massive if split between both teams. "FTM's Rules" are beers afterwards at the local pub over the road and home teams chips in the whip for the away team's first round. Will post again on Monday with the craic about the pitch. NB. Don't think there are floodlights so would have to be KO fairly early. What time are you guys arriving?

Sounds a great idea. If it gets sorted, i will certainly give the cambridge news a call sure they would be interested.

Nice one ftm especially the bit about home team buys first round yeah I'm conscious of the light but we would come down for as early in afternoon as possible or we could play 30 mins each way if necessary Let's get the game on and worry about the detail later mate

I'm actually a qualified ref but haven't reffed a competitive game for a couple of years due to being busy on Saturday's with watching Histon! Would be glad to ref if anyone wants?
