I couldnt disagree with you more, neil shows the battle and determination to lift the team, and the fans, which makes us more likely to score. He wins most of the balls he goes for, and im dissapointed we havent realised we need someoine like him in the middle of the park. I also agree that our attendances have been poor, i game isnt preety, and on a cold night people dont want to come out. we should have a look in doing a free ticket scheme to give us a chance of getting a few more fans through the turnstiles each week. Hopefully shall see a few of us in london on saturday!

Do you remember Carshalton, Team Bath and Gloucester? God I remember Team Bath! ;D One of my first ever Histon home games, but still came back and glad I did. I myself thought we gave Lewes too little respect last night and we paid for some sloppy defending. When we did get it going towards the end they didn't have a sniff and I thought that if that tempo had been at that level earlier on in the game we would be sitting pretty in second place right now. But I'm all up for a three pointer this weekend at Woking, and if the support is 10% of what it was last night I will be impressed. More of the youngsters have got the guts together to come and chant now and the result of that was evident last night. What I did want to say was who was booing FTM? I was behind the goal until 5 mins after the final whistle and I certainly didn't hear anyone booing? Plus you keep harping on about support and noise, why don't you come behind the goal mate? You seem quite passionate about Histon and its a shame we don't have you behind the goal. You going to Woking this weekend? If you are then make some noise! ;D

I love that attendance stat about 4,000 in the village or whatever it is, ignoring the fact that in all but officialdom, Histon & Impington are the same place and they're both suburbs of the City.
Otherwise, carry on, it's most amusing.

You going to Woking this weekend? Unfortunately I won't be able to make Woking. After two consecutive long-distance away games my unbeaten run comes to a sticky end courtesy of a christening in Kent. Such chores are part of wedded bliss. One must take the rough with the smooth once the wedding bells have rung. There's no gain in pointing the finger at the booing. I'm pretty sure I know who it was and it's disappointing when the team is in the top 5 of the BSP. Hopefully it won't happen again. Like I said the noise and support from behind the goal was really impressive. And from the players' reactions to the goal it was obvious they also appreciated the support. Maybe 20 years ago I might have joined in. Not really my scene now, I just prefer to attend and watch the game. I love watching Histon play. I'm going to concentrate on spreading the word. Preaching from the red and black gospel. Telling the locals that, if they like football, then they should be at the match supporting their village team who are actually doing really well... rather than sitting in their slippers watching Premiership teams. The recent brochure on Histon FC is exactly the sort of thing the club needs.

It's more amusing that the part-time team from those tiny suburbs now have a team that sits above the mighty city's team in the UK football pyramid.

I agree, i find that more amusing, i find Cambridge's denials and the down grading over everything Histon even more amusing.

It's not a downgrading, if anything, that entitles you to say 'we've got potentially 140,000 fans' instead of 'out of 4,000'....Pretty much, why?
