Heard a few rumours today about us being in major money problems. Apparently we need over 1k gates which we arent getting close to.
Fallon and Beck applying for the Wrexham job.
Anyone else heard?
Please dont shoot me down, just saying from what I have heard.

As i say, this may not be true, my source is a utd fan so as I say there maybe nothing in it, but apparently these rumours where flying about the shabby today,

we seriously need to get the fans in. Yesterday saw that woking have a scheme to bring fans in, the kids come 4 free and the adult pays a tenner. This seemed to work as you wouldnt get 1800 when your 2nd from bottom! It sounds good and many in non league do these things. People may ask how this brings money to the club, but people will buy either food, programmes, drinks, 50/50 etc. which helps and its likely that slowly a few of the freebie fans would come back, providing we dont play like we have done the past 2 games!.
However this kind of thing would depend on people giving up their spare time!

There is about as much chance of the Fallon and Beck rumour being true as me winning the Euro Millions!!! Its not going to happen!!!

800 fans paying on average £6 which is £4,800.

Oh right, well there not too far off.
I'm waiting for the laughs from Cambridge now.
But i dont see why we would spend (however much) on Simpson & Reeves if we were struggling that badly.

I think you'd be waiting for a long time to see the United fans laugh at this type news, if it turns out to be more than just rumours - don't forget it's only a few years since we were hours away from going to the wall and it's one of the most gut-wrenching and awful experiences possible to experience as a football fan. I certainly wouldn't wish that on anyone.
Rumours can often get out of control - I've heard stuff about Histon for months, even years, now about impending disaster and such like but you always put a decent team out and finish higher up the table than the year previous.! Also, be very surprised if Beck/Fallon were interested in the Wrexham job.
Sometimes word-of-mouth and speculation can get blown up out of all proporation - in the summer after Quinny left there was talk of us being in crisis, in debt and about to enter administration and all sorts, the reality was we were in our best financial health for well over a decade.
As I've said on our board - if these rumours do turn out to be true then I'm sure we'd look to help in some way, shape or form as the support given to us by other clubs and thier fans when we needed it was truly inspiring.

Well Reeves was on a free according to BBC Sport.... So only money paid out was for Josh Simpson!!

Denton is like most young lads and sometimes speaks before thinking through what's about to come out of his mouth or keyboard! There is, or should be at least, certain lines football supporters never cross in the name of "banter" and points scoring - serious issues like financial problems is in my view one of them.
In any case - I had planned to pop in and ask you to look at the league table...lol...we are planning an open top bus tour of Cambridge in the week to celebrate being back ahead of you!
