I think it must be a close call as to which Fans Forum is the most interesting. Histon's or City's ! Personally, I think that support has now reached such a nadir for both Club's that it is little surprise that there are any fans who actually want to bother about discussions on social media. Tragic I call it. I also suspect that because both Clubs seem to be content with playing in such a mediocre league as the Southern Premier, this breeds an apathy amongst the few supporters that still exist. Where will it end? Well, I think maybe it already has! And maybe that certain ex Stutes player who notoriously displayed the offensive statement on his vest during a a local derby at Milton Road had a vision that should have included both clubs instead of the one. The future is bleak, as far as I can see. What say you?

since late October they have been in every game, and the next three home games will be very competative.

It seems to me that football forums are becoming a thing of the past and social media is not used often for meaningful discussion. The place for discussion is at the game and you learn more about people's passion and interest in their club by talking to them. I find Histon supporters to be quite passionate and I think the hardcore 150 who will be their tonight will be there whatever happens this season. The gates are falling slowly but after the lack of success over the last 5 years that is understandable. I think there is still a fair amount of local interest but TV soccer is killing the grassroots game .

I agree there berbatov, Stute's fans are passionate. Add the word 'friendly' too. Which they are. I like the atmosphere at Bridge Road. And I suppose, if there's only 150 through the gate, there isn't going to be many posting on here. The players are a credit. Young and hungry. Well coached. It's not all about money, but it helps. But look around elsewhere and you will see money wasted dreadfully on players not worthy of such reward. The model and ethic is good at Histon. More locals should support the Club. In my opinion.

It's a shame that the Histon/Impington locals don't have more of an interest in their club. We're a little gem of a footie club, that plays some decent football with young, honest, hardworking players who are trying to make it in the game and we have arguably some of the most friendly and welcoming fans you could meet, but, it seems the local populace don't appreciate that! To be honest though I'd rather only people who care about the club turn up. As much as we need fans through the gates, all those part-time, glory hunting fans that were only about during our conference days can do one! All we can do as fans is promote HFC as well as we can and try and bring friends and family to the games.

Why is it a shame? £10/match to watch a poor team in a bad league frequently loosing. Let's get real.

Only 106 of us present to watch us beat Burnham. OK, it was a horrible night but it is a real worry. It seems there really is very little local interest.

St Neots gate was down by 100 from Saturday's game and Biggleswade also had their lowest gate by a fair margin. It was a dreadful night with high wind and low temperature and a lot of football on TV (Liverpool, Arsenal or Real Madrid). Regarding the £10 admission for the level I know some people who don't watch football at SL level because it's too expensive for what you get. Also United charge £16 for a terrace spot. I do feel that the main reason is the standard of football that is the problem with the SL being very poor these days. Nice to see Histon on such a good run and I think they will stay up which is vital to their future.Brian Page is doing a good job on limited resources.

I enjoy the league we're in and we do at times play some good footie. Plus I enjoy the company of the people I watch the footie with. Its not just about what happens on the pitch, for me anyway,. I'd argue true fans stand by their team through the thick and thin, so I'd like to see where the 900 fans who enjoyed our success during the connie days are now?

They have gone back to United which is where they came from in the first place. We warned you they would when the going got tough. Your support was made up of bitter ex Us, and your now back to your core historical support - it wasn't that long ago you were getting double figure crowds was it?

There will undoubtedly be some that have gone back to the abbey, some who like paulriley said, don't want to pay a tenner to watch southern lge prem football which is of course their own choice, a fair few who left when Fallon was sacked and the rest just lost interest when the dream become further and further out of reach. I believe during the ucl days we had double figure attendances. A family friend who has been a stute for well over 20 years joked that he used to be able to count the crowd years back and that he can now do so again!

I have to admire you hfc08stutes.... "you enjoy the company of the people.. what all 103 of them spread round the ground... it must feel lonely doesn't it? I have to admit, HFC always has played some good footie, particularly with the younger players. But we are only grooming them at our cost to let some other club come in a potentially pick the best off for free. Sounds like great economics. No wonder we are financially suffering. By the way, I have nothing to do with CUFC. I often went along to the GW, but the level of football is too dire now (I refer to the standard of the away teams and less about the HFC lads - they are just cloggers and long ball merchants - how do you play good football against such rubbish?). Get yourself back into Conf. South and I will be back.
