Not for one moment am I implying going up is as easy as what I have explained above. That's why I said "the best we can hope for". But we would be doing ourselves a massive favour by securing safety asap. Interesting point about the budget needing to be tripled to stand a chance of going up. Probably true but like I said, If we didn't have the 2nd worst away record in the league then we'd be contesting for a play-off position at the moment. 12 unbeaten at home is a tremendous effort and those kind of records are the ones that can get you promoted or now in our case, hopefully, keeps us up.
In terms of communication from the club, I can understand that silence is frustrating and that a lack of figure heads can create symptoms of uncertainty and frustration, and, if this particularly bothers you or anyone else then you need to hammer these points home at the next fans forum. Personally, being at uni, I probably don't notice the "silence" from the club as much as yourself and others so it doesn't really bother me at this moment in time. However I do know 1 or 2 people who help the club behind the scenes and I'm sure that they as well as others are working hard to 1.keep the ship running as smoothly as possible and 2. are trying to ensure the future of the club is secure and prosperous, in whatever form that may be.

Good points there, and yes the home record is excellent, but the matches I've watched at Bridge Road have been nail-biters, with most of those wins backs to the wall stuff. As I said, staying up will be a great achievement, and overall, little justication in criticising the playing staff and team management , bearing in mind the constraints.

Yep staying up will be fantastic, especially if we don't leave it until the final day to do so. Then we can enjoy a stress free game which would be nice wouldn't it . In terms of creating interest. Well Hfc has always been a volunteer based club. So it is up to us, the fans, to create this interest and generate a spark. I have contributed a little in my own way and if after graduating, I find myself back in Cambridge then I will be committing a lot more of my time and ideas to certain areas if the club are happy to entertain them. Overall I think little steps have to be taken if we are to achieve on and off-field success. Rome wasn't built in a day as they say. That will require plenty of patience, communication, co-operation, hard work, building relationships with sponsors, the local community other clubs etc and people power, ie volunteers and so on. For example, you mentioned posters being put up to advertise the games. Well I'm sure if yourself or someone offered to do this then the club would be more than grateful. In fact I remember during the conference days, putting posters up in my village to spread the word about the mighty stutes. Another thing that would be fab to have running again is the Histon fc Tv channel on youtube. Match highlights and interviews with Brian and co could really help raise the profile of the club. Especially as CEN's sport section falls head over heels for any little piece they can write about Cambridge utd. We hardly get any sort of mention on there anymore so its up to us to fill the void and create our own coverage. It's little things such as the above which have the potential to go far in terms of helping the club. I fully believe that Histon fc have enough people that care about it to keep it running efficiently. But it does require growth and development in certain areas if we want to achieve some success. If things seem silent and flat then its partly if not largely up to us as fans to remedy this. I know that the powers that be need to speak up and show us some leadership but at the same time if we really do care about the state of the club and want to inject some life back into the GW then we must all play our part. After all, we are the club. One of me mam's saying is "the squeaky wheel gets the oil". I think this can sum up, to some extent what I'm trying to get at here!
